Gladue Aftercare Case Worker

qwer.png

As the second phase of the Gladue services program, a Case Worker is responsible for providing case and file management by assisting Indigenous clients to follow through with any recommendations or healing plans included within their Gladue Report upon sentencing. The Case Worker will provide direct services and make necessary referrals or corrections to programs and services in the community.

The Case Worker will work in partnership with the Gladue Writer who prepares the Gladue reports for bail, sentencing, appeals, long-term offender hearings, parole hearings, courts, and probation and parole services in providing necessary client input and updates as required. They will also assist anyone who self identifies as Indigenous, First Nations, Metis, or Inuit, and who have Gladue rights and have requested a Gladue report. The Case Worker will also work with individuals in providing information for a pre-sentencing report through probation.
